Long Garden – Camden
A long, narrow and very sloping garden presented many challenges. By using the starting point of the client’s love of circles I created a garden which had areas of stillness as well as movement.
I needed to know the exact extent of the slope in order to plan the terraces and steps and so carried out a level survey.
A curving stepped path links the flat lawn with the the vegetable garden. A great feature of any sloping garden is that it looks and feels quite different from the top than from the bottom.
The repeat of brick as an edging for the lawn and vegetable garden is a simple link between the top and bottom of the garden.
The finalised plan of the garden.
