Front Garden – Little Cheverill

The main garden for the property is at the front so we created an attractive garden that worked for the whole family. The new level lawn could be used for all sorts of activities and sets off the beautiful flower filled borders.

The client felt the garden was unappealing and spoilt the first impressions of the house. It also didn’t offer any practical family space. Inspiration for the structure of the new garden came from materials of the house and it’s setting.

The new retaining walls and steps use a combination of brickwork and tiles which echo the detail of the original boundary wall, ensuring the new garden sits comfortably next to the old. Also the new layout has transformed the usability of the garden by changing the slope to a large level lawn, offering a generous family social area.

The attractive brick retaining walls and feature steps really compliment the property, constructed from carefully sourced recycled materials.

The new garden layout as seen from a bird’s eye view.

The colour, texture and organic form of the box ‘cloud hedge’ contrast really well with the brick and stone steps.
